Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference (AMUNC)

Lake Superior State University is delighted to host the 35th annual Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference, April 7-10, 2011. With great hope and aspirations for the future, the United Nations was formed nearly 65 years ago during the final stages of the Second World War. The dreams upon which the United Nations was founded are reflected in the Charter’s main purposes and principles:

• To maintain international peace and security . . .
• To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect . . .
• To achieve international co-operation in solving international problems . . .
• To be a center for harmonizing the actions of nations in the attainment of these common ends.

The same hopes, aspirations, purposes and principles inspired the formation of the Arrowhead Model United Nations. They continue to serve as guidance for students from universities across the United States and Canada who join together each year at the AMUNC. We encourage you to explore this site and welcome your participation at this year’s conference!

We have designed this website to provide useful information about the Conference. Please convey any suggestions to the organizers.
