Awards

There will be several awards at the conference.

Awards for the best overall policy speech during opening ceremonies will be based on factors such as length (they should be about two minutes in length, but no longer), substance (such as how well you represent your country’s positions), demeanor, speaking ability, and overall presentation.

Awards for outstanding committee delegates are determined by the committee chair and secretary. They are typically based on factors such as how well the delegate represented his/her country, how effectively and constructively she/he participated in both the formal debates and informal caucus discussions held by the committee, and whether he/she submitted a resolution, even if it was not debated. Specific questions regarding the criteria should be addressed to your committee chair at the conference.

Awards for best overall delegation (i.e. for a specific country), are based on factors such as the quality of the policy speech during opening ceremonies and the overall performance of all of the delegates in their respective committees.
